answer、reply和respond的区别

1、answer 用法比较广泛，可指口说或笔写的答复，也可只回应敲门，回应电话等。如：answer the phone，answer the door，answer the letter等。

2、reply指较为正式的、经过考虑后的答复，为不及物动词，后面要跟介词to

如：I am looking forward to your reply.

3、respond表示“回答”时用得较少，指正式的毫不踌躇的答复。
